Earlier is better since your dates might not be available later. Typically, the beginning of your third trimester is a good time to secure your doula. I recommend to search and interview a few doulas to best determine who you feel most comfortable with. Given you’re in an extremely vulnerable window after birth, it is important you feel secure and connected to your chosen doula.
